SERIOUS COMPLAINT AGAINST BATTALION SOLDIERS IN MALAMBO FARM

A serious complaint was filed with the competent authorities against soldiers of the Vergara and Velasco Battalion, which operates in the jurisdiction of the municipality of Malambo.

According to the known complaint, the military kill the cattle with rifle shells, or they are injured and then the meat needs them to make roasts.

This was revealed by Álvaro Gutiérrez Meriño, owner of a farm near the Battalion, when he reported that he was robbed of two cows and 15 horses.

He said he filed the complaint with the Army, but the mayor in charge of the Battalion did not pay attention and later a soldier attended.

The affected person said that the soldiers seem to be on the farm at night and carry the cattle and tied up or slaughter them.

The mayor of Malambo, Efraín Bello, said he was aware of Mr. Álvaro Gutiérrez Meriño's complaint about the loss of his cattle.

"What we did not know was that the soldiers of the Vergara and Velasco Battalion would be behind these thefts as this citizen affirms," ​​said the president.

Efraín Bello said he will be attentive to clarify complaints about theft of cattle in his jurisdiction.

Ante las autoridades competentes fue colocada una grave denuncia contra soldados del Batallón Vergara y Velasco que funciona en jurisdicción del municipio de Malambo.

Según la denuncia conocida, los militares matan el ganado con proyectiles de fusil, o se las hiere y luego las carnes las necesitan para hacer asados.

Así lo reveló Álvaro Gutiérrez Meriño, propietario de una finca vecina al Batallón, al informar que él le robaron dos vacas paridas y 15 caballos.

Dijo que colocó la denuncia ante el Ejército, pero el alcalde a cargo del Batallón no prestó atención y posteriormente un soldado lo atendió.

Dijo la persona afectada, que los soldados parecen estar en la finca en horas de la noche y llevar el ganado y amarrado o los sacrificar a bala.

Alcalde se pronunció

El alcalde de Malambo, Efraín Bello, manifestó que tenía conocimiento de la denuncia del señor Álvaro Gutiérrez Meriño, sobre la pérdida de su ganado.

"Lo que no sabíamos era que los soldados del Batallón Vergara y Velasco estarían detrás de estos hurtos como lo afirma este ciudadano", manifestó el mandatario.

Efraín Bello aseguró que estará atento para que aclare las denuncias sobre el robo de ganado en su jurisdicción.
